The pandemic doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. However, the stigma of the year 2020 is coming to a close--or, is it all just really beginning? This is the month of December 2020. Generally, the holiday season brings a sense of peace and joy in the atmosphere. For some, this is the time of year they thrive the most, and for some others, this can be a dump because the cold is not their favorite season. Overall, the holiday season this year during the pandemic is not the same. With no vaccine still administered to all, and Covid-19 cases still rising, holidays are definitely not the same as yesteryear. We here at OSYL had our shares of stories about how we are living it through these times. Some found happiness, some found new passions and hobbies, and some rediscovered many things about themselves and others. These check in's were periodic over the time frame of the pandemic. Now it is the end of the year 2020, how are we still feeling about ourselves and our relationship with others?

This episode features the usuals, Steven, Tyler, and Zvon, and Andrew. We start with a prompt regarding our state of mind during these times, and we go off in our discussion.

During the conversation, we ended up having a thoughtful and reflective, yet, optimistic discussion together. The feeling at the end was almost therapeutic for some. We thought about how we felt we've done a lot of reconnecting and disconnecting. We talked about how the quarantine taught us self-care, and how being selfish by learning to do good by oneself was not a bad thing. Some have always been doing well taking care of themselves, that on the flip side, the lock downs have been causing more stress in a way that they are unable to redirect the energy to new tasks. Overall, this end of the year recap and check in, provided a much needed talk.

Who knows where the next month and new year will take us. More of the same, or are will we finally start to see glimpses of our past glories? Find your energies, whether positive or negative, and figure out ways to redirect them in a manner that will release any of your stresses. There's not one right way, it's just about finding ourselves continuously while we adapt during these difficult times.
