Covid-19 or the CoronaVirus, has definitely rocked our sense of what’s normal in the world, but we believe that things don’t have to be crazy. Here are our top 3 ways on how we believe you can stay sane during these strange times we are in.

  1. Take the time to try something new.

  2. Reflect and improve relationships with yourself and others.

  3. Stay grounded and continue to believe in yourself.

First up, take time to try something new.

It seems like for most of us, we have more time away from the usual hustle and bustle. So, how can we make the most of our time in quarantine?

Andrew is classified as an essential worker during these times. Though he is much busier than he normally would be, his work is still a change of pace from his regular duties.

He is taking time to read and study personal finance. Taking advantage of online courses to booster his skills and knowledge in project management. And even enjoying learning new recipes from popular internet videos.

Though we should keep practicing the advice from our health officials, being in quarantine also gives us an opportunity to pick up that new and fun skill we always wanted to try.

Second, reflect and improve relationships.

This doesn’t necessarily mean we have to improve relationships with others. What about choosing to improve the relationship with self?

When Tyler was getting ready to clock off from his work, he would make sure to take time to clean his space and meditate. This usual practice of his made sure he separated work from his home life. Doing so, it reminded him to keep the stress of his busy work life away from his home.

Now that he is working from home because of the quarantine, to keep himself in shape mentally and physically, he continues his daily routines and rituals. He continues to keep making that morning cup of coffee, going for more runs or doing workouts at home, and to continue his daily meditations and breathing exercises.

Even though we may be more confined than usual, it doesn’t mean we necessarily have to let go of our daily cares. In the case of Tyler, he is taking advantage of this time to add more to his self care.

Third, remember to stay grounded and continue to believe in yourself.

These times can be tough in every aspect of our lives. It can take a toll physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. How can we maintain a strong foundation throughout this unknown time?

Easier said than done, but imagine trying to remain the calm in the middle of a hurricane. Fear can sink in when so much is unknown, but we believe that when you find a way to keep yourself grounded, it will be a solid foundation to keep you going through this tough time.

At the end of the day, we can be surrounded by loved ones, whether physically because of our shared spaces, or spiritually because of distance, but stay true and believe that we can find a way to the other side of the storm.
